359 wrong directions
that don’t find the narrow road to life.

Proverbs 14:12 &16:25
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

All humans have a spiritual compass; the problem with it is that it can be manipulated. Interfered in such a way to create confusion, Most of men kind, even the ones we would consider truly evil thought they were doing the right thing in their own mind.

What about Christians, we are still influenced by evil forces that fight against God. Their soul purpose in their life is to confuse us. Don’t be proud if even David, a man after God’s own heart was influenced by Satan. We should not be surprised if it happens to us?

1 Samuel 13:14 & Acts 13:22
…'I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.'

David was influenced to count the people by Satan. We too can be influenced to do wrong in the sight of God.

1 Chronicles 21:1
Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.

1 Chronicles 21:14
So the LORD sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead.

Men of influence are specially targeted, if Satan strikes the shepherd, the sheep will scatter. (Zechariah 13:7, Matthew 14:27 & 26:31)

Nobody knows for sure but it seems that the apostle Paul was also affected in a similar way to keep him humble.

2 Corinthians 12:7
To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.

Are you influenced? Yes. Do you know it? Maybe you do, maybe not. You know the saying “if it’s too good to be true it probably is”. Many things that feel right to your body are wrong to in God’s eyes. You probably have a feeling of which ones they are. That is the trick of the enemy, confuse right and wrong. Sin is addictive; it corrupts you and hinders your ability to hear God’s word.

Luke 16:13
"No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."

Romans 6:16
…whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

There is pleasure in sin, but it only lasts a while. The eternal seeds we plant in the kingdom of God have everlasting dividends. Are you planning for the now or the eternal? People’s souls, putting other above yourself, these are the things the Spirit craves. These are the only things that fulfill God’s purpose in your life.

Hebrews 11:25
He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.

Your body (selfish self) desires self preservation and pleasure. You mind once touched by Christ will continually make the effort to point you in the right direction.

Romans 7:23
…but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.

Once God has called you, He considers you his very own. He will take anything that you place ahead of you. Not that anything you have might be bad, your perspective of things is what might be bad and make you sin. Do you have things more important that God in you life. Sports, work, money, wife, position all this are things that in the wrong perspective could be replacing the importance of God in your life. And God will always when placed in second and third place start pushing upwards and removing those things you place in higher steam that you should.

Exodus 34:14
Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

Let’s say I lend you $20, I will remember your face and balance for the rest of my life until is fulfilled. How much more an all knowing God will remember that His son died for you. Once He has called you he will move heaven and earth to keep you. Many people heard the message of salvation you heard but did not listen. It was only because you heard the sweet voice of the holy Spirit that you followed, It is only because you still hear it that you keep walking towards the goal.

John 10:3-4, 156, 27
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Not so the unbelievers, they heard the voice and decided that the pleasure of this world was more important. Don’t harden your heart.

Hebrews 4:7
.."Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."

Ezekiel 11:19 & 36:26
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

We all have seen and heard WWJD? (What would Jesus Do?) The funny thing is we as Christian have a pretty good idea of what would he do. To give up our selfish desires and consider other before us.

Philippians 2:3
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Mark 8:34
..."If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

There are 360 degrees in a compass only one point to thru north. All the other ways are wrong. Keep checking your compass to make sure you are walking the right path. The more you go in the wrong way, they farter you get from your goal.

Matthew 7:14
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Are you doing better that in the past? God does not care where you are in your walk, starting of finishing, he only cares on the direction. Are you hot, cold or warm?

Revelation 3:16
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Check your temperature, are your ears burning, is God talking to you.

Luke 24:32
They asked each other "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"

Test him that talks to you. Does what you hear ask you to place yourself last, is it selfless. Does it match with the scriptures? You must know the scripture; let the Spirit of God lead you. A christian should be two things, hungry for lost souls and hungry for the word of God.

1 John 4:1
[ Test the Spirits ] Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

The Devil will masquerade as Jesus to guide you in the wrong direction; The Morning star was used to guide sailors home. Always check for counterfeits.

Isaiah 14:12
How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

Revelation 22:16
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

How do we test the spirits? Can you say "Jesus is Lord" when you are not a Christian.

1 Corinthians 12:3
Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

Acts 20:24
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

The thru test of God’s purpose in your life is a burden for souls. Help souls that are lost find the way, help to heal the souls that are wounded, Teach others to do the same.
