Can we Loose Our Salvation?

I did not write this to answer the question for you, I myself am not sure what it is. One thing has plagued me all my life “Been too smart for my own good”. I was not able to take the traditional answer “you can’t loose your salvation”. In some ways I believe, in some ways I don’t. Review each verse and decide for yourself.

Maybe you never got it?

Salvation comes by grace through faith a gift from God and not by works.

Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Many times the simple solution is the correct one. Instead of questioning some bodies actions could cause God to repent and remove somebody’s place in heaven we should wonder if they truly had it to begin with. People could go to church; praise, worship even pray and never really committed their life to God. False believers knew of God, not God.

2 Timothy 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power…

Everybody responds to the call differently. It is God’s will that some take the seed and flourish while others remain stagnant. These are vessels chosen for a higher calling. If our salvation meant the certain death and continual persecution would we be different than we are right now.

Matthew 22:14 "For many are invited, but few are chosen."

God choose us, we are not saved by man but by God. There might have been ten others in the service but you decided to stand up. (Want to be saved? )

Is my Lifestyles my demise?

A lifestyle is different than a habit, action or event. It is the continual practice of sin that God won’t allow. People that are unwilling to admit that they are sinning and stop practicing it are lost. They rather want God to work around their sinful life. God will not compromise his standard for us, He can improve your if you let him.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Notice that it is lifestyles not actions God condemns. God didn’t say those that stone but thieves will not go to heaven. A continual lifestyle without repentance is not permitted.

Galatians 5:20-22 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Notice “those who live like this”, it’s about a lifestyle choice not an occasional sin. God does not want you to continually Sin and repent. Asking for forgiveness when you know you are doing it again or are compensating the wrong doings in your mind. Repentance and regret are not the same. Regret is dealing with the consequences of actions. Thru repentance is a continual lifestyle change.

Ephesians 5:4-6 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.

Lifestyle deals with the mind. Rationalizing the reasons for our lifestyle is the way Satan and the world want us to be. Coming up with excuses to why we are the way we are instead of stop acting on them. Here is he evolution of sin into a lifestyle of death:

James 1:15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Sin is addictive and it will continually ask for more to achieve satisfaction. Don’t feed you flesh, feed your soul. Feeding your flesh drives you away from God. Feeding your soul drives you closer to Him.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."

We are all sinners and not worthy of God’s mercy. He gave us salvation by grace but it is not a free pass to sin without consequences or repercussions. The Holy Spirit will not allow us to enjoy sin and will convict us continually. God will not allow his chooses ones to stray from Him. He will give mercy to those that stop sinning on their own by conviction. He will also allow us to deal with the consequences of our actions. He knows how much we can take and will not allow our consequences to surpass our ability to handle them.

Lack of Real Repentance

Jesus can forgive our sins, present and future, he does require repentance. Repentance is an important part of our relationship to God. Repentance is an understanding of sin and turning away from it.

Luke 13:5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

Without repentance there is no salvation. That is why we stand so strong against lifestyles that give people a false sense of peace with God.

Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Like in a sport arena, angels and maybe even those that knew us that are in heaven cheer for our salvation by repentance.

Luke 15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

It’s politically incorrect to mention that certain lifestyles are sinful. The Bible it’s clear on what it considers sin and it lists it above. It is also clear that without repentance and a change of lifestyle there is no real salvation. A time might come when churches will be forbidden to speak against certain sins because it will be considered hate speech. Many churches already have a liberal view of the situation or don’t mention anything that could offend sinners.

John 8:10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

Jesus can forgive any lifestyle and sin. He does expect you to turn away and sin no more. It is impossible to live a life free from sin. He does expect us to try. A sign of thru salvation is a radical and permanent change of lifestyle for the best. Don’t debate with God on the technicalities of sin. You know in you inner most heart what sin is and what is not.

Ephesians 4:28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.

God considers some behaviors unacceptable to his high standards. God will bring conviction to us by His Holy Spirit when we struggle with a particular sin, to remove it from our life. We all don’t struggle with the same sin and at the same level. We are all unique and we are all sinners.

1 John 5:17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

Don’t look for excuses or loopholes, if your conscience tugs at your heart, check yourself. All Christians have the “what would Jesus Do” filter, use it. If anything you do hurts somebody in some way, it can’t be the will of God.

2 Corinthians 7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Jesus said “I don’t know you”

Did you RSVP to meet Jesus when you go to heaven? There are some that believe that when they die, they will get 66 virgins. I only wish that God will grant one of them to come and testify about what was really expecting him on the other side. (Need a Plan of Salvation)

Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Not everybody that prophecies, cast out demons, and performs miracles even while using the name of Jesus is doing it for Jesus. Sometimes the devil helps so called “men of God” that fall into sin grow and perform greater things than before only to expose and shame them. Remember the Devil can do that because he is the one causing our affliction. Like in poker the Devil bluffs weakness only to come back and break you. It will not only destroy that person’s but also affect all people once touched by that men’s previous good works.

Many charismatics have taken a bad wrap because of this passage. The misunderstanding of this passage has caused those that don’t have the gifts of the Spirit to questions those that do. We are not called to evangelize the saved but the lost. This is a trap of the enemy to cause division amongst our ranks.

Luke 11:17 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.

If churches united on their similarities instead of disputing over their differences, the body would have a dominant voice over this country. Aren’t we all brothers, one body, the (precious bride) waiting for Jesus return?

Matthew 12:26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

Before we assume that all charismatic tongue speaking Christians are really acting in the flesh let’s have an open mind and do what the Bible said. We where warned to test the spirits.

1 John 4:1-3 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit. Don’t over do it, ask for a discerning Spirit from God before you accused somebody doing God’s work from working for the devil.

Keys of the test:
• Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh
• No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit

What do so many cults and wrong doctrines have in common, the say and use Jesus without admitting that he was how he said he was. Be technical, look for these key terms. They will say some thing that sound like it without actually admitting to these two facts.

Mark 9:39 "Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,

Nobody working or been used by the devil can be used to lead people to salvation. Any believer can discern if an invitation to salvation is correct. The devil will not use a TV evangelist to lead people to repentance and salvation. He will allow them to perform miracles be charming and captivating. They will have some or most similarities to something of God missing key point. There are so many cults similar to the truth while still been wrong.

Matthew 7:22-23…prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

These that Jesus is talking about are fully sure they are doing God’s work, yet they are 100% wrong. They are those mentioned here:

John 16:2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.

What irony, holly wars and killings. What if the people you believe deserve death are the thru children of God? There are photos of Klan members next to banners that said Jesus Saves. The worst thing the New Testament teaches is to disassociate and only when believers fall way back.

2 Corinthians 11:4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

False doctrines omit, discredit or misinterpret the Bible. They use other text as higher authority to the Bible. Here is an example; there is no reference in the Bible to create, honor, reverence or worship statues of any kind. When you are familiar and have read the entire Bible and find that most thinks your church does, do not match the simple messages of the Bible you are in the wrong place. It takes an even finer look to find the ones that looked to be right but are wrong in core beliefs.
The unforgivable sin

Did God set up a trap for us, a sin so bad that no forgiveness will be found for it? Are we at risk of loosing our salvation by not recognizing the Holy Spirit? What if we wrongly criticized a Men Doing the work of God by the Holy Spirit?

Matthew 12:31-33 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.

Don’t be so quick to judge others for our lack of understanding. What is the test to determine somebody’s insanity? If you ask yourself “am I crazy?” You probably are not. If you worry about the Eternal sin you probably are unable to commit it.

Mark 3:29 But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

Matthew 12:36 But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

Be careful with your words, because they have the power of life and death and all will have to be accounted for. When in drought keep your opinions to yourself. Ask God for guidance and discernment before speaking, especially when you don’t have all the facts.

Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Impossible to be rich and saved

Can you be rich and go to heaven? We all seen the commercials “for the price of a cup of coffee”. If you could drive a comfortable car instead of a super luxury and use the extra $50k to feed a small tribe of new believers in a third world country, would you?

Luke 18:25-27 Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Those who heard this asked, "Who then can be saved?"Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."

Jesus equalizes the formula it is impossible for men not just rich men to go to heaven. It is only thru him that anybody can achieve it. Do we have compassion? If we shared the blessing God give us with those less fortunate we love our brothers in turn truly loving him.

Luke 10:25-37 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"

He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself."

"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."

But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.'

"Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?"

The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him."
Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."

God want you to love our neighbors, are you truly a neighbor when you live in luxury while your brothers starve to death. God called us to be light and help to those in need. There is a time when luxury looses its pleasure. It is when we see others in need.

Matthew 25:45 "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

What have you done for Him lately? Are you willing to give a little of the blessing God gives you to rescue those that are in need. Don’t turn your heart away from those in need. Helping others shows God you love Him.

1 John 4:20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

A sing of our love for God and thru salvation is our selfless desire to help others. It is thru the mirror of God. Loving God is equal to loving all of his creation, specially the ones that need help most and are less lovable. Remorse and charity are evidence of a sincere salvation.

Narrow Door (drawing)

Am I one of the few? Is salvation not as easy as many think? Are most not really saved or have lost their salvation? Do most fall short from Gods expectation? Do most loose way straying from the narrow road?

Luke 13:22-24 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

You can rest assure that every person in hell wishes every second they had a chance to rethink their lives. Are these the ones trying to go thru the narrow gate?

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

The way to God is given by Him. You can’t walk you way out of Hell without (His moral compass). His compass leads to Jesus and his teachings. The way to hell is filled with good intentions and nobody willingly would want to go these if they had but a second of experience. Just like a prisoner bowing to never go back to jail. Nobody would want to go there with a little time served and a glimpse of hope of a pardon. Jesus will answer the call the governor won’t. As long as you can breathe you can seek (his forgiveness).

Proverbs 12:28 In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality.

A righteous life in Christ will produce eternal rewards. The Gospel is easy so any child would understand. It is also deep so nobody would ever know it all. It’s salvation easy or hard? It is our personal walk that will determine that.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

God did not create a narrow door to keep us out. There is only one way, Jesus. God’s desire is that all his children will know him. Believers of the New Testament era believed that in their lifetime they will see the return of Christ. You can tell by this passage, God left this as an open ended event. What stopped Jesus from coming back? You and me, we would not be going with him had He not waited, He is waiting still but for how much more?

Romans 10:13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Before you die, with your last breath, call for Jesus to save you. He will in this life of for eternity.

Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

Blot your name from the book of life (drawing)

Can Jesus void an RSVP? He is able to do anything. He is the final judge. Can you loose your salvation? Can he remove our name from the book? Lord, take me out of this world before you are close to remove my name from the book.

Revelation 3:5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

Just because He says He can do it, it does not mean He will. Lord make me an over comer, may I never loose faith.
Am I Lukewarm?

Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

God wants us to be hot or cold not in the middle. You are either with (Him or against Him). Lord, protect me, draw me closer to you, may I never be cold or lukewarm. Don’t go to church half heartedly. Are you sold out for God? Would you buckle at the first sign of trouble? Are close to the fire just to feel warm? Benchwarmers and Sunday only Christians are at risk of this verse. Do your neighbors, coworkers, family and friends know you are a Christian? Are you a thither? Check your temperature, you might be a lukewarm Christian.

God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either (drawing)

Romans11:11-22 Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all!...

… If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.

He can and will cut the branches that don’t give fruit. Has God used you to bring salvation to others? There is no better assurance that going to heaven with fruits of your labor. Give Him eternal evidence of your love for God and others. Some wrongly called Christians believe in they should hate Jews because they killed Christ. Nobody killed Christ. He have his life, nobody could take it from Him. These verses clarifies that a thru Christian has kindness towards the original branches, the Jewish nation. After all two thirds of the Bible talk about their rise and Jesus himself was one and only preached to them.
Is Salvation is hard?

1 Peter 4:18 And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"

Now a warning! In many parts of the world a confession of faith in Jesus means prison or death. Those salvations are more sincere and different than the ones that happen in the US. A time will come when our beliefs might be tested. Is the modern church ready? Are you willing and able to die for Christ. Do you truly trust your eternal salvation at the edge of death? Read the warning of the (end of the age).

Dismemberment for Salvation

Matthew 18:8-9 If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

Many theologians believe that Jesus really meant what he said here. One of the first Kings to translate the Bible was hesitant because simple minded believers might actually take this verse literally. There are two realities inside our soul, the knowledge of a God and self preservation. These verse calls to attention the importance of sin not been part of our life. Jesus wants commitment; Abraham was willing to kill his son without hesitation. Very few people have taken this literally. You cut one had out you can sin with the other. One eye out you will use the other. The problem is in not the body but the heart.

It’s Impossible to fall away, then to be brought back to repentance

Hebrews 10:39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.

Is shrinking back rejecting at the moment the plan of salvation is offered or participating in Christian lifestyle them turning back?

Hebrews 6:4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Hebrew’s tells us that if you had enjoyed the full experience of God, There is not second chance. Notice what God tells us is a full Christian experience:

• been enlightened,
• who have tasted the heavenly gift,
• who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
• who have tasted the goodness of the word of God
• The powers of the coming age

O God let our church experience be so complete that there is no chance of going back. Bring these experiences back to the church of today.

Mark 13:13 All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Don’t give up, you only loose if you give up the fight.

Salvation can be lost only once

Romans 6:9-10 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

I can’t loose your salvation, because Jesus can pay the price again. There is no taking and removing of salvation like a jacket. Once you loose it is gone, there is no way to get it back. These verse at least removes the idea of a salvation sig sag.

The Father’s hand in fully secure

John 10:28-30 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

Am I in the hands of the father? Do you feel His embrace? The question is not can the fathers grip be loosen? The answer is no. The real question is where you ever really held.
It’s not about our actions but his selection of us

Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

2 Timothy 1:9 who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

It seems that we are saved by His mercy, calling, purpose, and grace by faith. We did not find God He selected us.

Saved by fire?

1 Corinthians 5:5 hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.

Can you be handed to Satan, destroyed but your soul saved? Is this why he wants us to be cold or hot? Does God have the mercy to takes us home before we go to far to be rescued. Some learn the right way, some the wrong way. Does He have a plan when we are sold out or given up? Many of us have hit highs ands lows in our life. He has a way to reach to us either way.

1 Corinthians 3:15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

Are the flames the way God reaches the cold to heat up to the core? I don’t want to be roasted before I go to Heaven. I don’t want to barely make it up there. I will take to fire to purify me. If in the end it means, I still make it to heaven. I would rather not count on a purifying flame to make up the difference and the misuse of these verse sounds allot like purgatory.
God’s Forgiveness requires your forgiveness

Matthew 18:23-35 23"Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talentswas brought to him. 25Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

26"The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' 27The servant's master (God) took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

28"But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.

29"His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'

30"But he (us) refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.

32"Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' 34In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.

35"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

God’s forgiveness is conditional, when you are called home did you forgave. He will forgive you if you forgave others. Do you have enemies, people you hold a wrong against? Release them don’t be fooled forgiveness is very important to God.

Matthew 5:22-24 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

God does not want or need you money but your forgiveness. He does not want your money if you don’t have a clean slate. He does not even want you to talk to the wrong in any way. Let go of those that hurt you. Hate is like an acid that only burns the vessel it is contained in.

Revelation 22:19 And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

There is a special punishment for those that edit the Word of God for their own benefit to stray people. So called “Jehovah’s Witnesses” can’t go back to the original Hebrew or Greek texts because they changed the text. Somebody now dead is still causing them to stray from the truth. In the same way Mormons adding an extra book that surpassed the authority of the Bible have created a pitfall. Even Catholics believe that the Pope’s words have the authority to overrule the Bible. This sin is especially bad because it causes innumerable amounts of naïve people to perish. You have the power read the Bible believe in what you believe because of your own studies not what your leaders told you.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Live your life as if you could loose your salvation.

Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

The trick to a successful fulfilling life is to live your life as if you could loose your salvation when you know you can’t. What is better to find out I was wrong believing I could loose my salvation once I go to heaven or to find out in hell I that I could?
